SEPTEMBER 11TH REMEMBERED

On Sunday, September 11, Columba and I recognized how four years ago, our
state, our nation and the entire world became a different place.  As
Floridians continue to move forward, and help those affected by another type
of disaster, we still remember the past.  The images of September 11, 2001
remain vivid in our minds and memory.  We remember that day.  We remember
those we lost.  We remember those who gave their lives.  And we are reminded
of how precious life is and how fortunate we are to live in the Land of the
Free.  Since that horrific day, we have witnessed the best in our fellow
Americans and Florida is more prepared then ever.  Columba and my prayers
are with all the families whose lives were changed on that tragic day.  We
also continue to pray for all of our troops who are fighting for freedom
abroad and helping those affected by Hurricane Katrina.
