Our Culture of Death

CRISIS Magazine e-Letter

March 31, 2005

**********************************************

Dear Friend,

It's been a while since you've heard from me.

Unfortunately, our office internet service was down for a full week
and a half (a bad router). So we've been completely cut off from all
email and web use. I apologize for the silence.

I'd been writing a longer letter to send you today, but with Terri
Schiavo's death, this just isn't the time for it.

Terri's killing -- and it is nothing less than that -- is a dark
herald for our nation. I fear that we may look back on March 31, 2005
as the day our country took a step down a path that leads only to
ruin. Wealth and power are nothing in eternity. Only goodness and
kindness and mercy will last.

Please join me and the entire staff at Crisis in praying for the
peaceful repose of Terri's soul; and for her dear and brave family,
who fought so hard to save her.

Let us pray also for Michael Schiavo, and all those who worked to
have her feeding tube removed. By God's grace, may their hearts be
changed.

All the best to you,

Brian
